DERIVE for Windows version 5 requires a PC-compatible computer with 8 megabytes of RAM running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, Professional, XP, or NT. A CD-ROM drive and approximately 3MB of disk space are needed for installation.

(If you use Windows 3.1, then the previous version of DERIVE (version 4) is available. This runs under Windows 3.1 if you have the Microsoft Win32s files installed.) Alternatively, you could use DERIVE for DOS.
