Producing reasoning steps in Aplusix
Mary sets the small arrow to “Creates a New step”
She has this exercise to solve.
She clicks on the small arrow and gets a new empty step.
She inputs an expression with the keyboard (or the virtual keyboard). As her calculations are correct and she is in the training mode, she gets a double black line between the two steps (if her calculation were incorrect, she would have got a crossed double red line).
Peter sets the small arrow to “Duplicate”
He has this exercise to solve.
He clicks on the small arrow and gets a new step with a copy of the inequation.
Peter wants to divide both members of the inequation by -4. For that, he deletes the -4 and the parentheses on the left, then deletes the -12 on the right and inputs a 3. At this moment, the two inequations are not equivalents as he has to change the orientation of the inequality sign. That is why he gets a crossed red arrow between the two steps.
Peter deletes the inequality sign and inputs the right one using the virtual keyboard (it is also possible to use the normal keyboard, typing < then =).
