Autograph Updates

Stand-alone users, v 3.10.2

Some users have reported a problem when accessing the on-screen keyboard.

The version number can be found under “Release Number” in the “Release.txt” file within the root folder of your installation CD.

Solution
In order to upgrade your version of Autograph you will need to run the patch "Autograph3.10.3Update.exe". In order to do this please follow the instructions below:
• Close any open Autograph Windows
• Locate the patch and double click on it to perform the upgrade and follow the on-screen instructions
• Restart the computer

Network Installation, v 3.10.2

Some users have reported receiving a 1713 or 2732.0 error when performing an administrative installation of Autograph on Windows Server 2000/2003

The version number can be found under “Release Number” in the “Release.txt” file within the root folder of your installation CD.

Solution
In order to resolve this error you will need to apply the transform file, “Autograph3.10.2Admin.mst”, to the MSI when performing the administrative install. This involves a slight modification to the process documented in step 4 of "Autograph-Network-Installation.doc".

Instead of the supplied command line you will now need to enter the following into the run dialog:

msiexec /a "d:\Autograph 3.msi" TRANSFORMS="<PATH TO TRANSFORM>\Autograph 3.10.2 Admin.mst"

Where d: is the drive letter for your CD-Rom and <PATH TO TRANSFORM> is the location to which you downloaded the patch file, e.g. “c:\Autograph Transform”. Please note the use of double quotes and the spacing, since getting this wrong will cause an “Invalid Command Line Options” error.

The admin install should now proceed as expected.

Having successfully performed the admin install, the admin image should be patched to upgrade to Autograph 3.10.3, using "Autograph3.10.3.msp"

To do this open the run dialog and enter the following command line:

msiexec /a "<PATH TO ADMIN INSTALL>\Autograph 3.msi" PATCH="<PATH TO PATCH>\Autograph 3.10.3.msp"

Where <PATH TO ADMIN INSTALL> is the location to which you performed the admin install in the previous step and <PATH TO PATCH> is the location where you downloaded the patch file to.

You can select the same target folder for this admin install as the previous one.

You can now deploy Autograph across your network.
